Every frame is cut from willow that grew differently, so no two are quite round in the same way. If you want one closer to the photograph than not, say so — Ines will pick the frame to match.
Both materials are listed on this site. You can buy the same twine and make your own, and several people have.
I started coiling because I wanted a basket that would survive being dragged to the market every Saturday, and the ones I could buy were either plastic or too pretty to use.
Hemp cord holds a coil better than jute and it does not go furry when it gets wet, which in Porto matters more than it sounds.
