Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA)

In a sentence. The non-intoxicating acidic precursor of THC in the raw, living plant.

Raw cannabis contains THCA, not THC; heat from smoking, vaping or cooking decarboxylates it into intoxicating THC. Because labs report "total THC", they convert measured THCA to its THC equivalent.
