Cannabigerol (CBG)

In a sentence. A non-intoxicating cannabinoid, often called the "mother cannabinoid".

CBG's acidic form (CBGA) is the precursor the plant's enzymes convert into THC, CBD and CBC, so it is usually present only in low amounts. It is studied for anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, and high-CBG hemp varieties are now bred deliberately.
