Category-5 narcotic

also: schedule v · type 5
In a sentence. A narcotics-schedule class (notably Thailand's) under which cannabis was historically controlled before delisting.

Several national drug laws number their schedules; Thailand's "Category 5" historically covered cannabis and kratom. Being in such a category means cultivation, possession, and trade carry narcotics penalties. Thailand's 2022 move took cannabis out of Category 5 — the event the Atlas records as "delisted."
